Project 365 Inspiration

I just completed week 3 and it was challenging! It’s so dark and wintery here that I have very few day light hours to take pictures. Plus, I don’t want to take my fancy camera to school, things have been going missing from classrooms and I would be devastated if Mr.Canon decided to leave me.

I’ve been taking pictures with my phone daily and I use them as a rainchecque when it comes to taking pictures with the fancy camera. The pictures I’m posting are only those taken with the Canon. For me, the Project 365 challenge is to build photography skills and really think about the images I’m capturing. So, I don’t feel bad when I can’t take one everyday but take 2 or 3 great ones in one day. Really, I’m taking the equivalent of a great picture a day.

To help keep me on track with my picture taking, I’m going to follow craftyminx for the rest of January.

I love the feel of the pictures produced from instagram on the iphone. Unfortunately,  I own an Android, the Motorola Atrix, and love it! I would love it more if the app store offered Instagram… But wait! My wish has been granted! Twice! Here are two android apps that produce the retro feel of Instagram, there’s no “place”, no “hangout” like iphone has on the interwebs to share them with other android users, but you can upload them to Facebook from your phone or email them to the people you love so there’s really no need to discriminate.

Smile and be snap happy Android peeps!

I orginally found these on Photojojo and their new blog welovephoneography.com, add that to your RSS.

P.S. Can I also just say that I’m OBSESSED with Picasa’s collage feature! Nailed it!
